Palacio Güell / Wrought Iron / From the inside

From the inside
Door from the inside
The entrance gates of the Palais Güell are a novelty for their time, made entirely of wrought iron, they replace the traditional wooden doors.
The picture shows us the mastery of Gaudi craftsmen, Salvador Gabarro, Joan Onos and the Badia brothers.
From the inside we can see the street perfectly, almost as if through a window, from the outside we can not see the interior.
Gaudi said that to train a collaborator, he needed ten years. Gabarro, who was in charge of these doors with the young Badia, fled Gaudi every time they passed him.
These doors made headlines at the time, it was said that Gaudi and Güell were building a prison Calle Conde de Asalto.
